Peter B. Rice,
Founder & Principal
Peter has been in the construction trade since 1975. He began by working on small homes and one-man projects. In 1984 he founded his own company, Peter B. Rice & Co. Since that time he has maintained a tight-knit group of employees and managed hundreds of successful projects. Peter has long felt attention to detail and good communication are the cornerstones of successful building projects—qualities he’s instilled in all his employees. When not sailing his Catalina 36 in the summer months, he volunteers his time and talents as Head Trustee at South Freeport Church. Peter lives in Freeport with his family.
Stuart Rice
Estimator/Designer
A graduate of Western New England College with a communications degree in 2008. Stuart is responsible for putting together proposals, designing custom cabinets using specialized cabinet design software, maintaining and updating digital blueprints using current CAD programs. When he is not working in the office on current or future projects Stuart is in the field assisting the crew.
Dave Rice
Carpenter
Dave was originally trained in the boat building industry in the 1970s—where he did fine carpentry. Dave joined Peter’s carpentry crew in 1981 and learned the trade the old fashioned way. His breadth of experience makes him very well rounded in his carpentry skills. Dave is an excellent finish carpenter able to tackle the most challenging tasks with clever solutions.
Mark Brockway
Carpenter
Mark joined the crew in 2013. Mark's attention to detail in all aspects of the project are invaluable on the tricky projects that we routinely tackle. Mark is a highly accomplished trim carpenter and framer as well as steel specifier. In his time here Mark has proven to be a great asset. His ability to come up with solutions for the complex issues that we face on some more challenging custom projects has been invaluable.
Benjamin Carr
Carpenter/Cabinetmaker
Ben joined the team in 2014 and began working in field as carpenter. Since joining the crew Ben has developed into an excellent all around carpenter proficient in framing, finish work, siding, window/door installation, and decking. Ben has taken over cabinet making duties in the shop building the custom kitchen cabinets, vanities, and built-ins that we provide on our projects.
Linwood Osgood
Carpenter
Linwood rejoined the crew in 2018 and brings years of carpentry experience to the crew. Lin is a skilled framer and trim carpenter. He also has a long history as a cabinet maker and installer.
Marc Katz
From “Filing to Financials”, Marc does it all! Marc joined our company in February 2010 continuing to keep the office running smoothly. Marc has extensive experience in the industry working with small to medium sized companies.
