As with many small businesses, Peter B. Rice & Co. began as a one-man operation. Since incorporation in 1984, the company has steadily grown to a successful mid-sized design/build contracting company specializing in custom homes, renovations and additions.

Over the years the size of the workforce has expanded and contracted with economic cycles. Presently our crew consists of five experienced full time carpenters with a broad range of talents and skills. This size allows us to pay close attention to each job and make effective use of subcontracted trades such as insulation, drywall, plumbing, and electrical. We do all the carpentry including siding, exterior and interior trim, cabinetry, and often roofing. By limiting our use of subcontractors to specialty trades and major mechanical systems, we maintain control over our projects. In this fashion we complete our jobs on time without incurring unforeseen expenses.
